This was CPI's initial introduction of our own products in 1976, independent of Palomar and the Digicom 100 radio. Steve Mieth, seated in front of me in the lab photo, did the CP-300 design based on the original Digicom radio system but with major layout clean up.

STONER Pro-40 CB SSB Base Station #322

Bought a Stoner Pro 40 from ebay in May 2015. This Stoner Pro40 has a HOT RX receiver with a very low noise floor, with SSB signals coming out almost like FM out of the quiet noise level.

Loss of all transmit is just one of the common symptoms caused by one shorted tiny filter capacitor. Another one will kill all receiver audio, and another will kill all mike audio, but still show you a dead carrier on AM transmit

DAK MK IX HYBRID SSB 40 Channel CB Radio

I wanted to use a reasonably good quality 40 Channel SSB CB radio for the donor unit to fit inside with a PC Mini Power Supply. But I have quite a few radios that would suit but I did not want to destroy any of them for this purpose. Luckily I had purchased a cheap Pearce Simpson Super Lion at a garage sale locally for $5 a few months previously which actually worked when I took it home and tried it, to my amazement.
